About Me:
My wife (Beth) and I have been married 41 years and have lived in Memphis, TN for those years. We are grateful followers of Jesus, proud parents of seven wonderful children, and delighted grandparents of 13 amazing grandkids (and counting!). I am a self-employed CPA with a tax and consulting practice, specializing in RE investors, small businesses, and high-net-worth clients. Beth and I are RE investors (buy-and-hold rentals, RE syndications, notes, and PM lending).
Lifeonaire Vision:
I am a worshipper of Jesus! My greatest ambition in life is to be pleasing to Him! I spend time each morning feasting on His word and communing with Him in prayer. I am conformed progressively into His image as I look at Him, obey Him, and walk with Him. I study and learn so that I can share with others from what I’ve been given. I am committed to letting Jesus fully be HIMSELF in and through me in the unique way that He can only be in and through ME. By doing so, I walk in the full purpose for why He created, redeemed, gifted, and called me – for maximum eternal impact.
I am “as Christ to the Church” to Beth – loving her sacrificially in order to build her up and equip her for what the Lord has called her to. I see God’s potential in each of my children and grandchildren, and I pray faithfully for them. I spend time with them regularly, encouraging them to find God’s purpose for their lives. I provide experiences with Beth and my children and grandchildren that will build lasting memories and develop their God-given potential. My relationship with each one is not a tether to them, but a launching pad for them. I am available for my brothers, cousins, and other relatives.
I give of myself sacrificially as an elder, a pastor/teacher, and a discipler in my local church. I am a volunteer with impactful organizations. I open my home freely and often to show hospitality to church, family, and beyond. I give freely of my financial resources – for needs big and small, local and global. I am free to do all that the Lord touches my heart to do with the time, money, and other resources He has entrusted to me as His steward. My business and my investing support and enable my vision and my ministry, rather than competing with them.
I develop a few deep friendships with like-minded men, with whom I can share anything and everything. I spend time with them for mutual encouragement and accountability. I have many other friends, too. I serve them by being available, caring for them, and seeking their success – in their spiritual life, family life, relationships, businesses, finances, and life in general.
I eat a balanced and healthy diet and work out at least three times a week (cardio and weight training), so that I can take every opportunity offered to me to experience life and create memories with Beth, my children, my grandchildren, and my friends.
I continually equip myself to lead a full life – learning new skills and improving old ones in music, language, sports, and business. I read for pleasure and personal development. I make time for physical activities like games, sports, camping, hiking, hunting, skiing, and vacationing with family and friends.
I walk in the reality of being a GOD-pleaser rather than a MAN-pleaser; of being a peace-MAKER rather than a peace-KEEPER. I am a conduit of the Lord’s life, and therefore an agent of change, for everyone with whom I have a relationship.
