Why Did I Write Lifeonaire?

Steve Cook Have you ever asked yourself—When is this going to get good? Or—How much harder do I have to work? Or—When do I get a break?

You may know who I am from the real estate investing world. I’m one of the guys who had the rags-to-riches story. I bought and flipped well over 500 houses. Real estate investing has treated me very good. I’ve taught thousands of people the trade and helped them to become successful in the business, but the thing I am most passionate about today and the thing that I talk about with people the most is Lifeonaire.

I want to tell you a little bit about Lifeonaire and how it came to be. You see, when I was pursuing real estate investing and achieving success in that area, the one thing I had believed the entire time was that becoming successful as a real estate investor was going to immediately make my life a whole lot better.

But as my success was coming and I started making more and more money…

The one thing I was really lacking was LIFE.

Can you relate?

Perhaps some of you have built up some good businesses like me, but you’re asking yourselves the same questions,

When is this going to get good?
How much harder do I have to work?
When do I get a break?

Have you come up with the answer yet?

Go ahead and call me crazy, but sometimes, I actually envied my employees because I felt like they didn’t have nearly the stress I had.

In any case, I sat down and got brutally honest with myself. I came to realize I was pursuing some of the wrong ideals. And while I was sitting there pursuing money in hopes that one day it would give me life, I came to realize the one thing I really wanted was life and that’s what I should have been pursuing all along.

Instead of being out there striving to become a millionaire or a billionaire, I wanted to become a Lifeonaire.

So after narrowing down what it meant to be a Lifeonaire, I wrote a book about it. It took me many many drafts to lay this out in a manner in which you could grasp, that wasn’t just another How-To book. This is the blueprint and the handbook that will begin to teach you the foundational thinking of how to live and experience a better life.

When I first started sharing this information with people, they thought I was crazy. I started saying things like, “Well, I’m not going to work as much,” and “I’m going to start doing less,” and “I want to start living life.”

As I was going down that path and actually started living my life this way, people looked at me and thought I was going out of my mind. In fact, rumors definitely started, saying things like,

“Steve must be going crazy—or he’s going out of business.”

There were all these different things people wanted to say, but the fact of the matter was this: I wanted to live life.

I wanted to be free to do the things I wanted to do when I wanted to do them. I didn’t want to have my business dictating my life. I didn’t want the lenders and the bankers to control me and my thoughts and take away from all the things that were most important to me.

Less actually does equal more. 🙂

Here’s what it took for me to live out being a Lifeonaire…

I sat down one day and I developed a whole new plan. I developed a new Vision for my life that was focused on living and experiencing life and doing the things I wanted to do. It changed everything. And, as I’ve been sharing that message with people it’s been changing their lives as well.

I’ve seen other business owners who worked 70 hours a week be able to cut their hours down to 20.

You might think:

Hey, when they start working less, they start making less.’

And that’s just not the truth.

When they start working less, they actually start making more because the work they’re doing is better quality work. It’s smarter work. It’s more efficient work. And it enables them to live and experience the life that they want to live.

People who thought there was no way in the world they would ever be free (because they were relegated to working an hourly job for the rest of their lives) we’ve seen free themselves from that situation, start small businesses or simplify their lives to the point that they just didn’t have to work that much. It doesn’t matter where you are or what stage you are in life, Lifeonaire can help you because of what it is. It’s a mindset change. It’s not about the things you do, it’s more about the way that you think.

One small step…for you

I want to encourage all of you. This is a book that many, many people, thousands of people, have gotten their hands on already. I could tell you that I’m offering you a special, and making this book free for you, and that there are only so many copies…but that’s just not the truth.

The book is free (although maybe not the case forever, at the time of writing this, it is) but there are not limited copies. I want to get this book into the hands of as many people as I possibly can so I will keep on printing it.

Many people spend all of their time going to work and then trying to fit their life and their family into whatever is left of their time. I understand you have doubts that anything else is possible. We all do at some point, but what’s waiting on the other side of that fence is just unbelievable.

If you just take away one thing from reading this today, that one thing is this:

Yes, it’s actually possible to work less, live more life and still thrive. (not just survive)

I want to urge every single one of you, if the message that I’m sharing with you here—if it is something that rings true, if it strikes a cord in your heart—don’t put off for one more day making the changes that will change your life forever and allow you to experience a full and abundant life.

You can grab a copy of the book Lifeonaire here
right now if you don’t have it already…

It’s an easy read. We’ve had many people tell us that this is a book they can read in one night—they just couldn’t put it down because they saw themselves in the story. Even if you say you don’t like to read, pick it up, read the first couple of chapters. I’m convinced you’ll want to read the rest of the book…in one night.

I’d love to hear your comments below. And when you grab the book, drop a comment below while you’re reading it and let me know what you think.
